XyliMelt tabs are a great solution for Dry Mouth (xerostomia). The product use enhances saliva production to moisturise the mouth and coats it in a soothing oral lubricant to keep your mouth comfortable for hours. OraCoat XyliMelts are a dissolving oral adhering disc whose active ingredients are slowly released to promote saliva and neutralise acid in the mouth. Xylimelts are useful in managing a number of conditions that can result in dry mouth due to reduce, altered or absent saliva production.  These conditions include Sjögren’s syndrome, SICCA symptoms and also dry mouth as a result of treatments including chemotherapy, immunotherapy, antihistamine use and the use of CPAP machines for sleep apnoea. 
 
The adhering disc technology means that you can use XyliMelts day or night even while you sleep, when Dry Mouth is at its worst.

About Xylitol, the key ingredient in XyliMelts.
Xylitol is a natural food substance that coats the mouth and may reduce the risk of tooth decay. A natural sweetener, it is comparable to sucrose in sweetness but contains fewer calories and fights cavities. 
 
Benefits of Xylitol (500mg): Increases saliva flow which not only keeps your mouth moist, but helps maintain healthy teeth and reduces bad breath. Xylitol does not promote and may reduce the risk of tooth decay. Coats, moisturizes, and lubricates in a single action.

Adhering disc technology:
The tan, dimpled side discreetly sticks to gums or teeth and has no effect on talking or appearance, and stays in place therefore it allows use while sleeping when saliva flow is lowest for the most effective delivery of xylitol for caries control.
 
Warnings:
Do not adhere to roof of mouth for use while sleeping - you might pry it loose with your tongue and it might lodge in your throat or lung, causing discomfort until it dissolves.  Instead, adhere it to the gumline on the outside of a molar.
Diabetic information: Each Xylimelts disc raises blood glucose equal to one-quarter gram of typical carbohydrates.

Ingredients:  0.55g Xylitol per pastille, Acacia gum, cellulose gum, hydroxypropylcellulose, natural mint flavour (without for the mint-free version), magnesium stearate, calcium carbonate.
 
Directions for use
Place grey/tan adhesive side of disc on the outside of a molar and/or adjoining gum, upper or lower, white side touching cheek. Use your tongue to push the disc to a comfortable spot. Once there, do not touch it with your tongue for 10 seconds, as this movement will disrupt the adhesion.

Before bedtime: Use two (2) discs, placing one on each side of the mouth.
Everyday use: For dry mouth, use more as needed throughout the day.
